Transparent Logo

Hello and thanks for having this forum. I'm pretty new at blogging and really enjoying the Gridalicious theme. I've recently created a logo and I'm trying to figure out how to make it transparent in the site identity. It is transparent as a .png file in the graphics program, but when I put it in the LOGO customization, it shows a white background. Is there some coding I can adjust to make it transparent?
