Transition speed of featured slider

Hi, The transition of the the images in the featured slider on my homepage is a bit too abrupt to my taste. The options mentioned in the FAQ - Transition effect and Transition length - are not visible under Theme options / Featured Slider, the only thing I can set there is Transition timeout, being the time of presence of a picture in seconds. How can I make the transition speed slightly slower, to make the transition look more smooth? Regards, Paulo
