Theme's ran through a checker?

Are the theme ever ran through a document validator such as http://validator.w3.org/ or http://try.powermapper.com/demo/SortSite? I get returned plenty of issues, primarily the overuse of h1 tags and I modify the theme to handle it. I've fixed it for the Menus but the Content Slider appears to still be using h1 tags, even though I down graded them to h2's. I have too many plugins, including a minifier, to identify others that are theme specific, but it seems like possibly an easy fix to imrove SEO for your customers. Just thought I'd ask. Thanks!
