Theme Homepage

Hello, I'm using Photofocus (free). I noticed that theme's Homepage (landing page), as opposed to the all the other Pages and Posts, is actually part of the template itself, and in order to make changes you have to actually edit the template. What's strange to me is that under Pages, there is also a Page called "Home". The "Home" Page doesn't look anything like the template's Homepage (landing page). It's automatically published, but it's just a lorem ipsum. I tried to delete the "Home" Page, but it messed up all my Header links. How can I unpublish/delete this "Home" Page without it screwing my site up?
