Summary post not showing up on the blog page

Hi guys, I just published my website this morning and decided to make a couple of posts. The links to each post is showing up in the sidebar, but the summary post isn't showing. I went to the setting screen and I have "10" chosen as the number of posts to display on the page. What am I missing? Cheers, Pat
