Spam in theme footer

I have just logged on and found next to the Copyright notice two links for spam sites. We had an expert do a small modification to the theme when the site was created to allow for the Jinx javascript includer and so have not updated the theme from 1.0.7 as we would not know how to reproduce these changes. How can we get rid of these spam links. I am not very technical so any help needs to be very simple please :-) The site is http://www.ethnicpolitics.org/ Many thanks in advance from a novice.
