Some Basic Questions

I'm new to Catch Themes. Referencing demo at https://catchthemes.com/demo/catch-base/; how do I customize this section with either a photo or a 2 colume section on something special. In other words where is the customization for this section found? And for another possibly dumb question, which page is considered the home page? Is that a page I can edit? Or is the Appearance | Customization really the home page? Thank you. Glenn
