slideshow has double the image select buttons.

Under the appearance/customize/featured slider - No Of Slides If you ad one slide two buttons appear if you ad more slides the amount of buttons at the bottom of the slideshow doubles. I have 8 slides and 16 buttons. I can't figure out what is going on.. Please Help!!!
