Slider malfunction?

I'm at a loss so far. Please help weigh in? I can't seem to get the main slider to function or interact properly. I am trying to get more than two slides despite the slider options saying there is 3 or 4. I can't seem to change the picture through the UI but only manually replacing the "slider1.jpg" etc. through a third party ftp. More specifically, I want to change the wording and/or active link. Looking at the forums it seems other don't seem to have a problem. My java is up to date if that even matters. I tried going from firefox browser to chrome just to see. No difference. It seems to me that a lot of the responsiveness in the "theme options" are a little stiff. I have to copy and paste photo urls for the "featured contents" and I can't change favicon via theme options among other little details. I guess I'm asking for something beyond the theme instructions or at least the correct file names so I can get into php coding and alter the wording in the slider to makeshift it to my liking, although there hasn't been much success with this yet. www.nutribe.net/fractalhealth Is there something I am missing?
