Slider image sizing

I'm trying to get my head around the sizing requirement for this utility. Try as I may some images finish up at a different height than the standard 514 and as a result the text below jumps during the transition. If I resize all to 1200 wide the individual heights tend to be other than 514, making this "jump". If sized to 514 high then the slider opts for the 1200 default width also creating the same undesirable effect. Maybe it's something I'm doing wrong, I hope so. Other than that, great theme for me.
