Simple Catch Theme and Gutemberg

As the release of Gutenberg draws closer, people are saying that it may "break" many themes or that themes will need to be modified to work in the new editor. My site (http://appletechtalk.com) uses the free Simple catch theme. Do you plan to make any changes to the theme to make it compatible with Gutenberg? Do you have any suggestions of what I need to do to my site to make sure it doesn't break when 5.0 is installed? Thank you, David
