Shortcodes usage in Catch Everest

Hi, Is it possible to use shortcodes in the Homepage Featured Content Options area? If so, I need to implement this shortcode: [widgets_on_pages id="Upcoming Events WoP"]. How would I go about doing this? I'm using the plugin Widgets on Pages. Thanks, Kathryn
