Shadowed Images & Change Title Hover Color

Hi, I've been trying for the past few days to fix two problems: 1. I can't seem to change the blue hover color of the titles of posts and the recent posts/archive links on the right side bar. 2. I'd like to get rid of the shadows surrounding the three linked images on the sidebar so they blend with the white background. My website is: rachellam.net Thanks!
