Search Results to mimic the Excerpt/Blog Display with images

I'm using the Simple Catch Pro theme and have Content Layout set to "Excerpt/Blog Display" [site is: bigflavorstinykitchen.com]. Because the site relies heavily on the featured images, I would like the search results to follow the same formatting. The search results pages do not display the featured image. [example: bigflavorstinykitchen.com/?s=korean] How can I set the search results to mimic how the other modes (blog, archives, tags, categories) are displayed? I tried (unsuccessfully) editing the search.php template, but I've since reset it.
