Rock Star (Free) change the text on the feature slider

Hi, using the Rock Star theme, The feature slider is pulling too much text from the page, is it possible to either edit the text on the slider, but still point it towards a page?   or is the a CSS code sets the amount of text it displays? If you look at our Home Page slider - it's pulled the whole paragrah of text from that page onto the slider.  If you then look at our  Gigs Slider - it's only a few words   https://chase15.band
