Remove Search box and Archives

Hello, I love this site, just a few small problems I am having: I went into my search widget and made sure it was turned off, and it is. Can you please tell me how to turn off the search box, and the archives box? Also, I asked you yesterday about changing the featured post slider into a featured images slider.
