Remove Page Name from Homepage and Shortcode Bug

My site: http://www.fhastronomy.org/ Shortcode Bug: For some reason I can not use standard Wordpress shortcodes in your theme on my pages. So I can not manually set my blog page to show posts with [display-posts] shortcode. It shows the code and not my blog posts. So to temporary fix this issue I set in the theme options Static Front Page to: Front Page: - select - (nothing selected) Post page: Blog (blog posts show on my blog page) No standard shortcodes work on the site. Second Problem: When I set my post page to Blog it adds Blog to the homepage browser tab title. How do I remove the page name from my homepage's browsers tab title? In the browser tab my homepage says: Blog - Fountain Hills Astronomy. How do I remove the "Blog -" portion?
