Remove Link from featured content image

Hi! After a backup, somehow the links on the featured content images on the homepage came back and cannot be removed anymore... I left the line in the field of the Homepage Settings of the Themeoptions blank but somehow an invisible "#" stays. Is there anything I can do to the custom CSS to prevent the images from beeing linked to "#" or anything else - or what is the problem here... Thanks a lot in advance!!!! Heinz
