Remove home slider next/previous arrows

Trying to remove the home page slider next and previous arrows that appear on the left and right side of the home page slider. ALSO - on the home page, using the Events List widget, how do I remove the numbers that appear (i.e., 1., 2., etc.) on the left side of the widget? Thank you!
