Remove 'author' and 'date' at top of Posts

Hi, How do I remove 'author' and 'date', which is placed automatically at the top of each post above the heading? Similarly, how do I remove 'author' and 'leave a comment' that is placed on the search results page next to each article? Thanks, Mat.
