Regarding Widgets

Hi I am using WordPress Simple Catch theme for my blog GIS Resources. I am looking for two widgets, and i already did a lot of search but couldn't find a suitable one like given belows: 1. Side Bar Tabbed Widgets for recent post of desired categories. please see the example 2. Flashing recent post widgets at the bottom of post. please see the example Following are screen shots of a blog: www.gisblog.com Please help me out by suggesting suitable widgets.
