recent blog posts not on front page after paid Verity Pro upgrade

Hey there. I just paid for and installed Verity Pro from the free version. I have a static front page that featured, at the bottom, 4 recent posts with featured images from the blog. That disappeared after my upgrade with no explanation. This is frustrating, since this is one of the reasons I love this theme! What is the fix? 'Should I now go back to the free theme?
