qTranslate-X strange behavior

Hi, I've been trying adventurous free and I'm considering buying your PRO version of it, but first I need to make sure everything works as expected. The problem I have is translating the theme options, like the search text or the featured content. I used those qtranslate-x tags (for instance, [:en]Search...[:pt]Pesquisar...[:]) but as soon I switch languages back and forth, I lose all of these translations. What can I do to make it work?
