Problems with featured content

Hi - I'm having problems setting up the "featured content" in the my Chicago Pro theme. My site setting is currently set on "disabled". When I select "homepage/frontpage" for the customization then no other options get displayed so I cannot do any customization . I am using the latest Firefox. My website is eldertech.org. My homepage/frontpage is "static" if that makes any difference.
