problem on excerpt and thumbnail alignment

Hello dear Staff, I love a lot chicago theme and i want to buy the pro version for having better control on it... But i have a small problem on my posts/excerpts: I would that bb code and text colour get involved in the exceprt in home page and i've tried Advanced Excerpt Plugin and i works but in that case the thumbnail image becames defiled on the layout... see in the home page: Http://www.coccole.net the only article... With pro version i could get more coulour and excerpt control without plugin that wastes theme original design? Thank you, Luca
