Primary menu 'dummy' page?

I want the heading menu item to provide the sub-menu drop downs, but don't want the menu item to direct to the 'page' that created the item. See VAOS.org, 'calendar of events, Shows and Projects, Newsletters. In each case the primary menu item should simple unfold the submenu and not be a link itself.
