Post on homepage since 1.0 update

I installed v0.3 this week and have been working on creating our first website using this template. I created a child theme so that updates wouldn't affect my customisations, but since I installed the v1.0 a few minutes ago, the homepage is now displaying my posts on the homepage when it wasn't before. Homepage/Frontpage Settings > Enable latest posts is un-ticked and I cannot find any other settings that might affect this. Can anyone point me in the right direction, please? www.qvt.org.uk/wp - still under construction! Thanks.
