Post infinite scroll update not working properly

On my site; test2.franciscandiscernment.org I have one post at bottom of front page (the one most recent). I've chosen to use the infinite scroll click method of allowing a viewer to see one additional post at a time. I like that a lot and want to keep using it. But the very first time my site is loaded in the browser, it does not return the next post, only a blank as if there were no posts (but I know there are). If I than re-load the page, then the "old Posts" click bar works as it should after that. How can I fix???
