Pagination of Long Posts

I am using Simple Catch Pro and I'm trying to use the <!––nextpage––> feature on some long posts I have but it doesn't seem to work. Is there something I need to change within my theme to get this function to work? I am inserting within text view rather than visual view. Thank you.
