Page not found – 404 response

Hi I would appreciate some assistance on the following (Using Catch Flames Pro): Is it possible (and how) to return the 404.php (including the proper html 404 response for search engines) for post-/author-/archive not found instead of the default theme text, similar to "pages not found" ? Url: http://energyfaculty.com (example: energy faculty.com/author and energy faculty.com/author/user) I am looking forward to your response.
