Page developement visual mode

When creating a new page in the visual mode it looks very different than the finished product. I am using a full width no sidebar template but the visual mode appears as if there is a right sidebar. However, when I view the page it is in full width. This is problematic with positioning text, etc. Am I missing something within the settings? Any help is much appreciated!
