Padding below logo/menu color issues

http://kinderhavensandpoint.com/WordPress/ Hello, I've reduced the padding above the logo and would like to reduce the padding below the logo in the header. Also, I would like to change the gray color from the menu bar. I've tried using this code #header-menu ul.menu a { color: #0088cc; } I found in this forum but it didn't make a change. Thanks
