Open page in a new window

hello I have two questions - 1] could you please tell me how to open a page in a new window from the primary menu ? 2] In the header area, where I have my site title and logo and where the primary menu is located, I dont like the white color. In stead, I want to add my own header image with my logo and company name. Is it possible to add a personalized header ? Thanks
