Opaque Overlay on the slider?

The images of the woman within slider on this page artlessonslyndabmoyer.ca/ appears darker than the originals, and the one placed in the gallery on this page https://artlessonslyndabmoyer.ca/portraits/ Is there a darkened opaque overlay on the slider that can be lightened or removed?  I can't find it.
