Only Show Post Summaries on Page

Hello! I am using catch everest Pro theme. I love it! So I have a page for our blogs, I want it just to show a summary and not the full article on the blogs page. I have clicked on the the setting "reading" and changed it just summary and nothing has changed. I am guessing this is because it is not my home page where the blog posts appear. Please let me know how I can change this. I am very new to all of this so please be as basic as possible!
