no longer able to change header graphic for a particular page

I've been using Catch Adaptive Free since 2017 for a site I've created for a non-profit organization. We have a special event each year, with 4 web pages. It has always been easy for me to change the header graphic for these event pages each year. Suddenly I'm no longer able to change the Content Featured Image. I've gone to the Media library and removed the setting from the current image, and set the desired new image to be the Content Featured Image, and set the page options to enable the Content Featured Image and disable the usual featured image. I still see the older header not the new one. I'm using Catch Adaptive 2.1.2 and WordPress 4.9.14. I am about to move to WordPress 5.4.1 - will this solve my problem??
