Newsletter text

Hello! The text is showing up white when typing in the white box field for the newsletter so you can't see it! I'm trying to type my email address in the email box field of the sign up form, i'm using the newsletter widget in the footer 1 with The Newsletter plugin. There is no option in the theme to personalize the footer so how come the text is white in a white box? I can only see it if i click outside the box. But i don't want to have to put a note saying ''please click outside the box to see if you've type the right email address!'' Lol How do i fix this? Thanks! Maude
