Navigation Flyout Edits

Hi - I tried using dev tools to get the class or container name and only having minimal luck. How do I change the background or overlay color (not sure which one it is) of the global nav flyout menu? Also how do I hide the search field that appears in the nav flyout? I want the flyout color to be black so that it hides the logo when it flys out. Background is transparent now. Also looked in theme controls and thought maybe that functionality was built in. Did I miss that? Any help is appreciated. Steve Thanks -
