My website keeps crashing because of the theme

When I update plugins the theme crashes my site. This is the error on the theme site: This theme failed to load properly and was paused within the admin backend. Error: This theme failed to load properly and was paused within the admin backend. This has happened so many times, is it only me? I have to use backup of the site to recover it.
