Modifying catchbase_footer_content

So I've had to customize the footer content and am using the catchbase_footer_content() function in my child theme. Every so often I'm getting the following error message. Fatal error: Cannot redeclare catchbase_footer_content() (previously declared in D:\home\site\wwwroot\wp-content\themes\gaispc\functions.php:27) in D:\home\site\wwwroot\wp-content\themes\catch-base\inc\catchbase-core.php on line 1430 It seems it has something to do with it being transient? How can I get around this error?
