Menu Tweek and one more question

Hi, quick question. My blog is topiclife.com. I just tweeked the height of the menu bar using #branding ul.menu. from 3em to 2.5 em, but the pop up menus didn't follow up. There is a gap between the main menu bar and the pop up menus when the pointer is hovering on it. Could you fix this for me plz? One more question is can I shrink the width of the right side bar?
