Make this post sticky feature doesn't work

Hi I'm using catch box box pro 2.4 (I have many tweaks and afraid to upgrade at the moment to 2.7) I'm using the features slider on tthe homepage only, and uses posts to accumulate it. also I've selected the "Exclude Slider post from Homepage posts" options. So, the problem is once I want's also to use the "Make this post sticky" option for the rest of my posts in the homepage it wont work. all the posts (exept the ones in the slider) are showing.
