link format for Featured Slider custom

In the instructions it says:

If you select slider as Custom, add title, link and Content for the slider

What exactly is the format of the link field? There is a # already in one of them. But I can't figure out what I can place in the link field to send a user to a page. I realize there is a "page" slider type, but I prefer the aesthetic of the Custom type. Can you supply an example of a valid link entry for this part of the theme? Thank you!
