JQuery Question

I noticed this theme is calling: <script type='text/javascript' src='http://www.onlinemswprograms.com/wp-includes/js/jquery/jquery.js?ver=1.8.3'></script> I know if I disable javascript, the slider no longer works on the homepage. Is this the only place where this is being used? If so, is there an easy way to register the jquery? I am not using the slider and do not want to load the file as it is rather large. Thanks!
