Inserting graphics as content on pages

Hi! I am looking to upload PNG images from either images captured from Photoshop or PowerPoint, however, I end up choosing in terms of quality. How do I get images to fill out the page? I have created images large and small and they seem to scale down to about the same size on the page. Any help? Suggestions? Thanks, Wade
