IE 8 Header Issue

First, I would like to say I love the Catch Everest Theme!  I purchased the pro version.  I had to customize the header so the image was to the left and the title and subtitle were stacked to the right of the logo box.   Everything works fine in all version of testing except for IE8.  Everything is stacked one on top of the other.   I saw a couple of similar posts here but the solution they had didn't work for me.   Here's the URL: http://www.hautedoghotel.com/test Any advice guys?  Compatibility view fixes the head but totally screws up the menu.
