HTML space just before the footer

Hello, Is it possible to create a HTML field just before the footer shows? I would love to place my Instagram snapwidget there, not showing a slideshow of one picture after another, but a full line of pictures (maybe 6 or 7) over the page. Or is it possible to use the footer, when not devided in 4 widgets? I hope I made it clear what I mean... Thanx, Martine.
