How to remove mysterious section from Frontpage

Hi, Really nice theme. Will definately get the full version if I can make this thing work. Problem is that below the Header Image, and before the Footers, there is a large, black space with the words, "Projects" and "Home", the Home one having just popped in there when I renamed the main page. How do I remove this entire section so that the page displays Header Image > Footers (that link to other pages)? Thanks for your help! Jef K
