How to protect top menu so it can't be selected

Hi - Using Catch Everest Pro site: www.lacostafilmfestival.org There are certain pages where we may want to require the user to select a submenu and not allow selection of the top menu item for a set of pages. Is this easily configurable? For example, under "Press" I have three sub-pages. I don't really want the main "Press" page to be selectable.
