How to not show the Featured Image on a page

I have the featured image for pages that are linked to the home page sliders. Is there a way to not show the images at the top of the actual page. I would just like to show the images in the slider then have a thumbnail image or no image on the actual page. When I choose the "disable" for Header Featured Image Options it does not seem to do anything. Suggestions?
